Mindfulness is based on the premise that paying more attention to the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you – can improve your mental wellbeing.
I can work with you to help you reconnect and engage with the world around you and your surroundings It can help you to understand how your thoughts can affect your emotions and behaviour. Through developing an increased awareness you will become able to understand the signs of stress and anxiety and be able to control them more effectively.
Studies have been undertaken into mindfulness programmes, with particpants being taught mindfulness practices over several weeks, and they have shown that the programmes can bring about reductions in stress and improvements in mood.
